My mum was British, so I took my daughter to the UK in 2016 to visit our (50%) ancestral home. One of the places of great interest to us was Luton, a town in Bedfordshire mentioned in the video above, where our family had a straw hat manufacturing business in the 19th and early 20th centuries. That factory building is a scheduled historical landmark that’s still standing, but we were forbidden to visit it by the local police who informed us it was now a “no-go zone” for all non-Muslims. We would have been arrested—and probably deported—had we tried to circumvent the police blockade. And the police were quite adamant that we would have been killed, if not arrested first, and they were powerless to prevent or prosecute it.
