Why do they keep calling it a ādemocracyā we are a āconstitutional republicā that allows democratic elections. I let democracy go. Our founding fathers cautioned us on how easily a democracy can be corrupted. I canāt help but think in this digital age we canāt find a way for every vote to be counted and eliminated the āelectoral votesā because it creates an imbalance among voters. A good example is the state of Oregon where everyone west of the cascade mountain range control the entire state. Another example on a National level is how California has 7 (I think) electoral votes where a state like Montana barely has 1. This is NOT a ālevel playing fieldā where again those voices are silenced merely because of where they choose to live. My point is Iām sure there are people a lot smarter than I could figure out how to use our technology to make elections more efficient and secure. The process is virtually the same as it was 50 years ago. Food for thought if you can get past the Trump derangement long enough to look at the process objectively.
Electoral votes okay, but keep the electoral college. Without it only 4 states would be heard from.
Without electoral college only NY, Chicago, LA and San Fran would vote in President ! Basically 100 percent of country would have no say in an election !!
