I am 85 years old. It is so sad to even bring-up such a subject. What is happening to America? Are all those crazy people on pot? Are we still a Democracy? My poor children, grand and grandchildren what kind of future are they going to have? So depressing to hear such crazy happenings lately!

Not to be condescending, but a Democracy is what we are heading for. We are and have been a Republic since our conception of the Constitution. You are correct in your thinking though.
