Trump is making the Western Hemisphere safer. Iran, China & Russia have a presents in Venezuela. Drugs shipped to America are killing our citizens. Their oil was being shipped to blockaded countries. Trump cut off the head of the snake and the Democrats are pissed off. Everything done was legal and he did not need Congressional Approval. ….no…no…no…no! The issue with Venezuala is not Maduro, Drugs or a thirst for stolen oil. I don’t doubt that Maduro is an animal, but probably not any worse than dozens of “Dictators” across the globe, including those in Europe, Canada and other South American or Far Eastern countries. The issue driving the actions in Venezuala is American Debt and the collapse of The US Dollar. Since FDR made the deal with Churchill to get The US involved in WWII, using the false-flag of Pearl Harbor…and England agreed to give up the World Reserve Currency status that had driven the growth of their Empire…The US Dollar has reigned supreme. That meant that any country wanting to purchase anything…especially oil…had to pay for that oil in US Dollars. That meant that everyone in the world had to buy US Treasuries to gain access to those dollars…which meant the US could deficit spend decade after decade. Now that we are at least 38 billion in debt…and the dollar’s value has collapsed about 97% since Nixon took us off The Gold Standard…no one wants to buy US Treasuries. That…along with the formation of BRICS and countries who want to trade in a “Basket” of currencies…has undermined the US control of the “World’s Reserve Currency” status…and threatens to bankrupt The US. Venezuala’s oil reserves are the highest in the world, with an estimated 303 billion barrels of oil. Iran and Venezuals’s oil reserves together make up 30% of known reserves around the world. At current market prices Venezuala’s oil reserves are worth about 17.3 trillion dollars, and we now control that prize. So it isn’t that The US will “steal” all of that oil, but they will insure that the oil is sold only in dollars…and that will once again force the world to buy US Treasuries in order to obtain the dollars needed for purchase. Much like when Obama and Hillary invaded Libya…it was about the dollar’s reserve currency status and not some concern about Libya, it’s people or “Freedom”. Muammar Gaddafi was about to issue an “African” currency that would be based in gold, and use real gold coins…and he hoped to spread that across Africa in order to raise the standard of living. The US couldn’t tolerate that, so they invaded to stop Gaddafi’s challenge to the dollar. The dollar is also part of the reason Trump is so fixated on Greenland. Greenland is a strategic outpost to militarily monitor and deter Russia or China from exploiting the resources of The Arctic…which is presumed to have the largest supply of oil left in the world. By controlling the oil, The US presumes it can keep the world tied to the dollar…and Trump thinks he can prevent the bankruptcy of America by forcing others to continue to buy oil and other commodities in US Dollars.

I think Nixon took the USA off the gold standard because LBJ’s war (Vietnam) was costing too much. That way, the Fed could print all the money they wanted, and it needn’t be backed by gold. After that, our national debt exploded.
