Imagine what we could do if: 1.) we had no national debt 2.) people were not conditioned to live off the government 3.) we had responsible people running the country

I get what you’re saying, especially regarding these unmarried couples but: when i was growing up in the 50’s, my dad made enough money (working as a grease buffer in a non union factory) to support us including making payments on a modest home. My mom stayed home and made sure I was brought up right. Nowadays most married couples have to work just to get by. And everyone complains cause our kids are literally being raised by the school systems. It’s not just the welfare system that needs to be changed.

  1. why do you think the same politicians keep getting re-elected? I you could be sure that every month your rent, food, electricity would be paid, NO MATTER WHAT, would you bother to vote much less vote differently? I work in the medical field (dietician) and the government could cut obesity by at least in half, just by placing rules on what SNAP can be used to buy.No 8 cases of soda, 5 bags of chips, frozen entries with 3K g of sodium. If you are an at home mother getting food stamps, COOK a friggen meal. Already the commercials saying school is out, kids have food insecurity. If your kid is getting school meals, then you are getting SNAP. It is not taken away when school ends. COMMON SENSE is gone.I could fix this in a year.
