There’s also the issue of “performance” comparison for men. I’m speaking for myself, but I’m fairly sure most men have similar concerns. If a woman has been with several other men or dumps me for another man, my first questions are: What did I do wrong? Did I not satisfy her enough in bed? Do/did those other men satisfy her more completely?
In other words, was/am I good enough? Most men don’t want to worry about that, which is probably why so many men want to have sex with highly experienced women, but want to marry a virgin. We all want to believe we’re the best our spouse or lover has ever had. That’s Psych 101 stuff.
