Helen Keller was blind and deaf she was far from being dum . They are rather intelligent people. I have a brother Inlaw that is deaf and someone called him a dummy. I thought he was going to tear him apart. This man is very intelligent. He can tear down a mother and fix it just by putting his hand on the miter. From now on they are deaf and blind stop the nonsense of calling them dumb because they are not dumb at all. I have my hearing and sight but I took offense to this .
