Donald Trump’s amount of his fine was more than excusive. I am glad we have a great Constitution in the USA.
I do not consider the constitution and amendments to be a secret weapon. The 8th amendment prevents excessive fines. However, I expect this whole case in NY to be overturned. There was no victim, the lenders were satisfied and made money, the loan was applied for in the usual way that real estate loans are done, the valuation of the land was also done in the typical way so I believe it will be kicked out.
I agree if it isn’t overturned then the Country is doomed and anyone can be locked up for doing nothing wrong!
