Alejandro Mayorkas refuses to answer a question about illegal immigration during a Congressional hearing which leads to a shouting match between Republican Mark Green and Democrat Glenn Ivey.

This exchange took place on November 15, 2023 in the House Homeland Security Committee.

If Mayorkas can’t answer a simple question, he should be stripped of his position, put on unpaid leave, and placed in prison until he can. This is our border security we are talking about. No one that incompetent should have a position in our government.

To hear a Democrat complain about not following rules is ridiculous.

  1. Mayorkis needs to be removed from his position immediately. I have watched him make a joke out of our system long enough. Will someone please grow a set and take him out of this position. He is the biggest threat to our way of life at this time.

  2. How many times is Congress going to keep calling this guy to continue grilling him when we all know what is happening at the border and that he is completely incompetent and strictly following directions from his higher ups. Nothing has changed in all the times he has been before Congress! It’s the same rhetoric and the border is still getting flooded with illegals. What is it going to take for someone to impeach this man and get someone who will protect the border. We’re back to business as usual. This is just a show for the American people to make us think that something will be done. Nothing will happen. We are the laughing stock on the world forum. This is an article of what is actually happening in Congress:

WASHINGTON — As of November 14, 2023, the House voted Monday to push off a Republican effort to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, ending for now a threat against the Cabinet secretary that has been brewing ever since Republicans took the House majority in January.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a hard-right Republican from Georgia, forced a vote on impeaching Mayorkas to the floor through a rule that allows any single member to force a snap vote on resolutions, including constitutional matters such as impeachment. A small group of Republicans joined Democrats in voting to defeat a motion by Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia to immediately impeach the homeland security secretary. There you have it!
