It’s very easy to sue politicians (look at what’s been done to Trump), but under “Sullivan v. New York Times”, it’s very hard for a politician, such as Trump, to sue the media. What would clearly be slander or libel against a private individual isn’t when it’s used against a politician because of all the protections written in for the media and its minions. It’s a measure of how reckless ABC and Stephanopoulos were that they got dinged – and it’s a measure of how bad Tapper is that he’s now worried. What I wonder is that nobody has sued those ignorant harridans on “The View”. Maybe “The Donald” has been saving it up for them. Jeez I hope so.
