Taxes are the mechanism that a civil society uses to accomplish the tasks that individuals cannot perform by themselves. Examples include paying for our military defense, public infrastructure, the social safety net and much more. Now we can debate how much those taxes should be, and we can debate who shall pay what part of them, but taxes are not inherently evil.

This is why Trump calls it ‘The Swamp’. It is nothing more than a racket with the taxpayer paying for it. Congress authorizes those funds as a vote-buying scam to special interest groups and in return, throws our tax money at them. They don’t really care because it isn’t their money.
