I’ve trained in arrest and control procedures with local police and sheriffs, MPs, and DEA, FBI, and IRS agents. So my ONLY POTENTIAL criticism of the officers involved is whether or not they exhausted ALL other restraining methods before risking striking the baby with multiple officers on the scene. If they did, then the punches were justified. Unfortunately, the video doesn’t show the entire sequence of actions prior to the blows being struck.

Car seats in the back seat of a car are safer for infants but wearing seat belts are just as likely to result in death as not wearing seat belts. I know a fellow who was decapitated because he had on a seat belt. The statistics have shown year after year for 40 years that the same number of Americans are killed because they wore a seat belt as are “saved”. We need cops who don’t punch anyone in the face except to save lives. Training for cops needs to step up. I have seen videos of white cops punching black women in the face all over America, and then we have the recent “death by black cops” of an innocent black driver in Nashville, TN for which there is not one excuse for the excessive use of deadly force.
