She secretly laughs at the idea that arming Tiawan’s citizens will discourage a Chinese invasion and brings up total nonsense about China’s nuke missiles. Japan had considered invading the USA since the bulk of the US Navy in the Pacific was destroyed along with most of our aircraft and the islands we once held had been taken over by the Japanese, they thought it would be an easy cake walk. But their German allies told them there will be an American with a weapon behind every tree and through attrition the Japanese Military would be worn down. If China did decide to nuke Tiawan, there wouldn’t be anything left worth conquering. The idea of conquering another country is to take and exploit that country’s resources. That’s why Japan invaded Mongolia and China in the 1930s and part of Hitler’s plan to conquer Europe was to exploit the other country’s resources plus revenge for Germany losing WW1.
