He does not even know how to pretend poverty. After school lawn mowing jobs and paper routes. Weekends bagging groceries or bussing tables at a restaurant and as a perk you would have been fed sometimes (at a discount). Wonder bread? I bet ol’ Gav didn’t even KNOW about Day Old Bread Stores. Or that Walmart has the best boxed mac n’cheese. That scarf he is wearing for being voted “most sylish” cost more than REAL impoverished kids make for a week (month?) of passing papers. Nor do they wear scarves as a fashion statement. They wear them for warmth as they get up before dawn to hustle as a before school job. (shovelling snow, walking dogs, etc. for neighbors) My (now millionaire) brother passed papers long enough putting aside $1 a week to afford a bike so he did not have to walk his route. I have NEVER heard him mention the jobs we had as pre-teens and teenagers. We were not “poor-poor” meaning we did not go shoeless or hungry, but I certainly knew poor people and shame on you Gavin. Apologize to people everywhere that know exactly what poverty feels like and it is not eating stacks of Wonder bread and being alone after school. Boo-hoo. Perhaps little Gavin should have asked his gardener if he could help him?
