Karmelo Anthony, the kid who turned a track-meet tent dispute into a first-degree stabbing of Austin Metcalf and got a solid 35 years for it; Lindsay Clancy, the mom who strangled her three little ones and somehow inspired a hung jury; and now Corie Walsh, the Clancy-obsessed woman who decided her toddler was the Antichrist and hanged him in the basement. All three have somehow collected the same online fan club of professional victims, keyboard psychiatrists, and full-time mental-gymnastics enthusiasts. These folks treat every open-and-shut body count like a TikTok challenge: “Yes she killed the kids, but have you considered her feelings?” or “He stabbed him, but the tent was triggering.” They’re not interested in evidence, fair trials, or the idea that murder should actually cost you something. They’d rather turn the courtroom into a group-therapy session and the sentence into a participation trophy. Apparently the only thing more reliable than the body count is the chorus of people insisting these killers just need more understanding—preferably delivered by a judiciary that treats “I heard voices” or “he touched me first” as a get-out-of-prison-free card.
