When I was 16, I was supposed to go model for an agency in Paris that would take me to Milan and other European cities. My parents couldn’t go, but another model who was in her early 20’s was going to help keep an eye on me.
I had already withdrawn from my school classes, had my passport and plane ticket (still have it) and was ready to go, then my mother agency head told my mom that she heard rumors that the Paris agency would introduce their models to “playboys.”
Needless to say, I didn’t go. Learning what I have the last decade about the way the world REALLY works has made me very grateful to her. I think she saved me!
