While our mental institutions needed to be upgraded to more “patient oriented” care, they should NEVER have been shuttered. Imagine how much police time is utilized ( & basically waisted) say in 1 yr, addressing incidents similar in nature. Our country has just too many of these “lose cannons” walking around unsupervised who need to be institutionalized. We ALL would be safer & better off. JFK jr. & Dr. Oz in our H&HS Admin. should initiate MI’s to their “to do list”!
